Tucked along the leafy ridge of Spring Hill sits 355 Wickham Terrace, a building that’s been around longer than most of Brisbane itself . Built way back in the 1860s, this charming old duplex started life as one of the city’s earliest homes before the neighbourhood evolved into Brisbane’s famous medical precinct.

Over the decades, the building swapped family life for stethoscopes, becoming consulting rooms for doctors as Wickham Terrace grew into the go‑to address for specialists .

Eventually it found a whole new identity as the home of the Theosophical Society, adding a splash of spiritual history to its already colourful past . Today, it stands proudly as a Queensland Heritage–listed treasure - a little slice of 19th‑century Brisbane still holding its ground among the modern towers.
