Discovering Eumundi’s Old Bank Building!

Stepping into Eumundi feels like wandering through a storybook, and the Old Bank Building is one of its most charming chapters. Built in the early 1909, this little landmark once served as a short lived Bank of New South Wales branch, a tiny outpost during the town’s booming timber era .

After its banking days ended, the building went through decades of change… and a fair bit of neglect . Locals say it spent much of the mid-1900s in disrepair, quietly watching Eumundi grow around it. But like all good characters, it made a comeback!

Today, the Old Bank Building stands proudly as part of Eumundi’s heritage streetscape . It’s a reminder of the town’s early hustle, its quirky resilience, and the stories that live in every weathered timber board. If you’re wandering the markets or exploring the village, it’s worth a peek!

History doesn’t always shout, sometimes it’s a small building with a big past. And Eumundi’s Old Bank is exactly that
